Assignment: For the week of August 17 the students are reading in class Mississippi Trial 1955. This is the story of Emmitt Till and how he was brutally murdered. They are reading in groups and writing the main action points of each chapter. Also, they are writing for five minutes on prompts I give them based on the story and working on vocabulary. Since we only have one classroom set of these books we are forced to do all reading in class. Therefore, you will not see your child bring home any homework for this class for the next two weeks.
